The Future of Learning
For centuries learning has been based on reading and memorization. Pictures in books helped visualize objects and actions but the reader had to combine what they had read and seen to imagine how things worked.
With the advances in augmented reality technology it is now possible to make books interactive with all kinds of 3D visualization and animation. Several companies such as BALANCE Edutainment, Devar, and Octagon Studio showed their capabilities at Augmented World Expo (AWE2017).
Learning can be a challenging task, yet learning while doing has been proven to make it easy and fun. These new technologies, integrating classic books and flashcards with augmented reality, help students of all ages learn faster and better.
